Tara and Lee: A Wedding Film
Wednesday, December 5, 2012
You need to see this in motion to really understand the kind of party these two had. I think they would have sped up the ceremony because they were anxious to have their first kiss as husband and wife and get their boot-wearing, throw down party started.
Tara had me and my crew laughing. She is one of those girls that cries and laughs at the same time because she can't contain her excitement. Those set of trees around them? Her brother built that. He and his wife created the forest setting Tara envisioned. If you need a craftsman, you need to get a hold of this guy!
My favorite part of motion is that you get to see their story come to life in such a different way. A way that puts you right at their day...

Brian + Amanda: Sedona, Arizona Wedding
Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Somehow ... somehow I managed to narrow down a few favorites from Brian and Amanda's wedding.
It started with a little tap on my shoulder. Amanda. She had just returned from Thailand, glowing with something more than tan lines. We were at a get together for PhoenixONE and having remembered seeing the most exciting news on Facebook, I threw my arms around her to congratulate her on her engagement. We talked about her trip and I listened in silence, amazed at how God and this guy named Brian captivated her.
Then she gave me a smile and asked - I was actually wondering if you'd be interested in being our wedding photographer?
That is how it started. However, I had no idea how much I was going to be impacted by these two in one single day. After their first kiss, they dropped down on their knees to pray. I felt that lump in my throat and was at complete awe. I understood how much Brian and Amanda's heart was completely and utterly surrendered. As they held each other, on their knees, I was just... moved.
Before running (and riding) off (a la Elliott style ;), everyone rallied around them in prayer. Rally. That's exactly what their friends and family are doing (STILL) for Brian and Amanda. The most beautiful support system for two people who want nothing more than to serve those around them. This is Brian and Amanda.

Daniela + Cris: McAllen, Texas Wedding
Monday, July 16, 2012
As I darted up the stairs and walked into the dressing room, Dani's mom met me with a church's chicken finger. How does she know me so well?! I love fried chicken. "Eat Alejandra!" Needless to say, I felt at home.
I absolutely adore Dani, Cris, and their family. The day was brimming with emotion, Daniela laughing through the tears of such an overwhelmingly beautiful day at Quinta Luz Ranch.

And this my friends is called the Hora Loca (Crazy Hour) that is full of colors and music. Streamers, hats, masks, and whistles are passed out to guests so that they literally create a celebration as the bridal party makes another appearance with their Hora Loca attire.
Um, in other words, one heck of a party.
Thank you Dani and Cris for sharing this day, your family, and your friends with me. You both are so special and so incredibly loved. It was easy to be around such an amazing group of people who were clearly ready to celebrate your love. Gerardo (my amazing second shooter) and I had the best time at your wedding!
I went home wearing a tiara and my hair covered in silly string. Need I say more? ;)
